The Purchasing Division is responsible for providing assistance to City departments in securing goods and services in the most economical, efficient, and timely manner possible. We handle purchases in a manner ensuring competition between potential vendors and contractors in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, sound internal controls and professional purchasing.
The Purchasing Division advertises all Invitations For Bid and Requests For Proposals in The Hays Free Press. The advertisement will be at least two weeks in advance of the bid opening date. A formal bid or proposal is a written solicitation exceeding $50,000 for goods or services.

IFB 17-011 Holiday Lighting Project



Attached is a copy of the City of Buda’s Invitation for Bid 17-011 for Holiday Light Purchase, installation, and removal for the 2017 Holiday Season. The intent is to describe the minimum specifications for purchase and installation of holiday lights in Downtown Buda to include wrapping of ten (10) heritage trees to be left up year-round, temporary lighting over-the-street, temporary lighting of downtown buildings and a few additional trees and poles around Buda City Hall in a uniform soft-white light. This is a one year term bid for holiday lighting installation.

Please submit three (4) copies of the proposal [one (1) CD or flash drive and three (3) hard copies, signed in ink in a sealed envelope to:
