The Purchasing Division is responsible for providing assistance to City departments in securing goods and services in the most economical, efficient, and timely manner possible. We handle purchases in a manner ensuring competition between potential vendors and contractors in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, sound internal controls and professional purchasing.
The Purchasing Division advertises all Invitations For Bid and Requests For Proposals in The Hays Free Press. The advertisement will be at least two weeks in advance of the bid opening date. A formal bid or proposal is a written solicitation exceeding $50,000 for goods or services.

RFP 18-004 Furniture Fixtures and Equipment


 

To All Interested Parties:

 Attached is a copy of the City of Buda’s Request for Proposals, RFP 018-004 for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for City Hall and Public Library Building.  The Proposer will provide all product, labor (including supervision), tools, materials, equipment, licenses, permits and incidentals required and/or implied for the complete and satisfactory performance of providing and installing furniture, fixtures, and equipment at 405 East Loop Building 100, Buda, TX 78610.

 Please submit three (4) copies of the proposal [one (1) CD or flash drive and three (3) hard copies, signed in ink in a sealed envelope to:

The deadline for submission of proposals is 12:00 pm, Friday February 23, 2018.

IFB 18-006 Houston St. Area Bid Packet

Sealed Bids, pursuant to Local Government Code Chapter 252, will be received for the Houston Street Area Drainage Improvements construction project by the City of Buda – Finance Department, 121 Main Street, Buda, Texas until 3:00 PM local time on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Immediately thereafter, the bid proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers at Buda City Hall located at 121 Main Street. The project includes construction of improvements to the existing drainage system including earthen channels, culverts, utility adjustments, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, and site restoration. A portion of the work is located with Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way and compliance with railroad safety requirements will be required.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Buda – Finance Department, 121 Main Street, Buda, Texas 78610, Victor Castillo, CTCM, Purchasing Manager. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Procurement Website as described below.

Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Procurement Website as described at http://ci.buda.tx.us/137/Purchasing. The City of Buda has partnered with BidNet as part of the Texas Purchasing Group and will post bid opportunities to this site. Prospective Bidders must register with the Procurement Website as a plan holder, even if the Contract Documents are obtained from a plan room or other site. The documents are made available for the sole purpose of obtaining Bids for completion of the Project and permission to download does not confer a license or grant permission or authorization for any other use. Authorization to download documents includes the right for Bidders to print documents for their sole use, provided they pay all costs associated with printing or reproduction. Printed documents may not be re‑sold under any circumstances.

All official notifications, addenda, and other documents will be offered only through the Procurement Website. The Procurement Website will be updated periodically with Addenda, lists of interested parties, reports, or other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project.

The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Procurement Website will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable.  Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen.  The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Procurement Website.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 3:00 PM local time on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the City Hall Chamber, 121 Main Street. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.  All questions must be submitted by Friday March 9, 2018 at 8 am.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
