Downtown Buda Farmer's Market (March-October)
With a strong focus on sustainability, the Buda Downtown Farmers Market provides visitors, residents and local businesses with high-quality goods and the freshest, most nutritious and most reasonably priced locally grown produce.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday before Easter)
Hop to Buda Sportsplex for an egg-citing egg hunt! Kids will make a dash towards the hunting ground to try and collect as many eggs and treats that can be found. Following the egg hunt, there will be more activities and fun for the whole family.
Buda Lions Country Fair & Wiener Dog Races (Last weekend of April)
This annual country fair has become an extremely popular spring event, which begins with a pet parade, followed by the nationally known Wiener Dog Races. Cheer on your favorite wiener dog while also enjoying the other fun activities that are happening at the fair. Other competitive events can be observed at the BBQ cook-off, bake-off, washer tournament, and best dressed dog contest. Movies in the Park (Every Friday in June)
Enjoy concerts under the pavilion or watch family friendly movies under the stars. Seating is on the grass and concrete, so bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks for comfort. Concessions will be available. Admission is free. Movies begin at dusk.
Red, White n' Buda Independence Day Celebration (July 4th)
Come celebrate Independence Day in Buda! A morning children’s parade filled with decorative bicycles, wagons, and unique kid’s floats take route on Main Street. Bounce houses and more family fun can be found at City Park. The celebration continues into the night with live music and a spectacular fireworks display.
Fajitas, BBQ and more tasty food can be explored at Fajita Fiesta. This is a family friendly event that also includes a jalapeno eating contest, games, a talent show, mariachi groups, and arts and crafts vendors. For more information, visit the Fajita Fiesta website.
Boo-da Halloween (Saturday before Halloween)
Local businesses and organizations line up in downtown Buda to provide a fun and safe opportunity for trick-or treating. Bring your little ghost or goblin for some candy, treats, and entertainment. The Buda Public Library also provides more fun with spooky stories, crafts, games, and more!
Budafest (First Weekend of December)
Held the first full weekend in December, this festival is sure to put you in the holiday spirit, including a Christmas parade, entertainment, carnival, and over 125 artisans selling handcrafted items of every type – jewelry, candles, holiday decorations, salsas, woodcraft’s, pottery, and soaps to name but a few. Buda Trail of Lights
Christmas cheer radiates throughout the season! Take a walk through Historic Stagecoach Park to view twinkling lights and illuminated Christmas displays. Guests are shuttled from Cabela’s so that they can enjoy the array of festive scenes at their leisure. Food, fun, and holiday splendor await visitors along with a visit from Santa himself.
