Public Information Requests

Submitting a Public Information Request



Requests for public information must be made it writing (email is considered acceptable) and be as specific as possible in order to assist us in fulfilling the request. Requests must also be for records that are already in existence. Upon receiving a request for public information, we will diligently gather all responsive information and review before disclosure. If it is determined that the responsive information is privileged or non-disclosable, then a Request for Ruling will be sent to the Texas Attorney General's Office. A Request for Ruling must be submitted within ten (10) business days; however, we will strive to accommodate your request as quickly as possible.

Requests can be submitted via email, mail, or in person at the Buda Police Department, 405 E. Loop, Building 200.
