Propositions 1 & 2 – City Hall/Library and Public Safety Building
Page has completed the 100% Construction Documents and submitted for permit review.
The City and Broaduss & Associates are currently reviewing the 100% CDs for completeness, constructability, possible Value Engineering items and and areas of savings. Final review comments will be generated by Broaduss from the review and these will be forwarded to the Page for correction and clarification.
JE Dunn currently submitting trade packages and soliciting subcontractors to provide final bids to perform the work for Propositions 1 and 2. JE Dunn will go through the bids that they receive to check them for completeness, to identify any work scope gaps, and to analyze them to determine best value for the City. They will use these bid packages to finalize Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for each proposition.
The City is meeting with JE Dunn on Wednesday Jan 4 to conduct the first of the OAC meetings, conduct a Pre-Construction meeting, go over the schedule of Prop 1 & 2, including the Tree Relocation and the logistics, prep work and point of activity.
The preparation phase for the relocation of the oak tree on the municipal site originally began in mid-October. The contractor had pruned back branches, and has exposed and treated the root ball of the tree. They will start relocation preparations this week. It should take 3 weeks for final relocation. Target date for full relocaton is the last week of January.
