Posted on January 18, 2017 at 3:41 PM by David Marino
Permit review comments for the Municipal Complex were released and have been submitted to the architect for responding to or correction to construction drawings. Site development (foundation only - early start permit) is projected to be released this week pending final review and release of review comments.
Review of the 100% construction drawings is ongoing by the City Project Manager and Broaduss & Associates for completeness, constructability, possible Value Engineering items and areas of savings. Mechanic, electrical, and plumbing is still under review. A semi-final comment report was issued by Broaddus for review, minus mechanical, electrical, and plumbing comments. The final report will be generated by Broaduss on Jan. 31, 2017. The findings will be discussed and reviewed with JE Dunn and Page for clarification, correction and adjustment as required.
JE Dunn's date for subcontractor bids was Jan. 5, 2017. They are currently reviewing sub bids for content to assure bids are complete regarding scope of work for Propositions 1 and 2. A reconciled guaranteed maximum price is to be finalized by Jan. 31, 2017 and will be fully reviewed by the City and Broaddus before presenting to the Council on Feb. 7, 2017.
On Jan. 4, 2017 the first of the owner architect contractor meetings was conducted, reviewing the pre-construction meeting process, overview of the schedule for Prop 1 & 2, including the Tree Relocation, the logistics, prep work and points of activity. The structural steel for the projects have been released for contract to JE Dunn.
The job trailer is scheduled to be set along the right of way of Loop Street on Feb. 6, 2017.
