First Thursday / Art Around Town
Join the Buda Downtown Merchants’ Group as they encourage local residents and visitors to wander the unique antique and specialty shops. This is a free event hosted by the Buda Downtown Merchants’ Group. For more information and a complete list of participating merchants, call the Department of Tourism.

Downtown Buda Farmer's Market (Seasonal)
With a strong focus on sustainability, the Buda Downtown Farmers Market provides visitors, residents and local businesses with high-quality goods and the freshest, most nutritious and most reasonably priced locally grown produce.

Louisiana Swamp Thing & Crawfish Festival
It's all about the food and the music! This Louisiana-themed event features the best in Louisiana music and cuisine prepared by concessionaires from Louisiana and Texas. Attendees will also enjoy an extensive menu of Cajun seafood and children's activities. Music includes Cajun, Zydeco, Funk, Brass Bands, Blues, Rock, and Jazz. Buda Lions Country Fair & Wiener Dog Races
This annual country fair has become an extremely popular spring event, which begins with a pet parade, followed by the nationally known Wiener Dog Races. There food, arts and crafts vendors, and live entertainment throughout the weekend. For more information visit the Buda Lions Club website.

Movies in the Park
Enjoy concerts under the pavilion or watch family-friendly movies under the stars. Seating is on the grass / concrete, so bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks for comfort. Concessions will be available. Admission is free. Movies begin at 9:00 pm. Concerts begin at 8:00 pm.

Red, White n' Buda Independence Day Celebration
A celebration of patriotism observed across the USA and held in downtown Buda. This celebration includes a morning children’s parade and evening live music.

Buda Fine Arts Festival 
The Buda Fine Arts Festival is a two-day free festival of over 50 juried fine artists that includes a kids interactive art tent, art demos, music, displays of local student art, and a silent art auction benefiting students from Hays CISD with scholarships entering higher education in the field of art. Boo-da Halloween
Downtown Buda serves as a safe and fun opportunity for children to trick-or-treat for Halloween and includes Halloween stories, crafts, games and more Halloween fun at the Buda Public Library.

Held the first full weekend in December, this festival is sure to put you in the holiday spirit, including a Christmas parade, entertainment, carnival, and over 125 artisans selling handcrafted items of every type – jewelry, candles, holiday decorations, salsas, woodcraft’s, pottery, and soaps to name but a few. Children can also visit and take pictures with Santa.

Buda Trail of Lights
Christmas cheer radiates throughout the season! Food, fun, and holiday splendor await visitors to enjoy a spectacular display of twinkling lights illuminating Historic Stagecoach Park with various Christmas scenes and themes.
