Alisha Burrow joined the city of Buda in December 2009 and was named Director for the Department of Tourism. Ms. Burrow oversees the City’s marketing and tourism initiatives, as well as, the operation of the Downtown Buda Merchants’ Group.
Ms. Burrow has more than 10 years of experience in the marketing, tourism and event industries respectively. Prior to joining the City, she managed the direct marketing and event activities in the financial development department for the American Red Cross Dallas Area Chapter, and was previously director for the Lufkin Convention & Visitors Bureau. Her experience extends to the film and marketing and public relations industry, serving various positions at companies such as Thoma Thoma Creative and Terry Hines & Associates.
A Texas native, Ms. Burrow holds a bachelor’s degree specializing in English, received from Hendrix College, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.
Ms. Burrow is an active member of Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Texas Travel Industry Association, Meetings Professional International (Hill Country Chapter), Texas Downtown Association, Texas Hotel & Lodging Association, and the Texas Hill Country Region Chapter.
