Welcome to the home page of the City Purchasing Division. Our goal is to serve the public, the city organization, and our suppliers efficiently, professionally, and ethically.
The Purchasing Division is responsible for providing assistance to City departments in securing goods and services in the most economical, efficient, and timely manner possible. We handle purchases in a manner ensuring competition between potential vendors and contractors in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, sound internal controls and professional purchasing.
The Purchasing Division advertises all Invitations For Bid and Requests For Proposals. in The Hays Free Press. The advertisement will be at least two weeks in advance of the bid opening date. A formal bid or proposal is a written solicitation exceeding $50,000 for goods or services.
Current Open Solicitations / Bids
The City of Buda is currently in the process to begin its search for a consulting firm to help the community establish a brand which bridges a variety of interest groups and presents a common theme. While it takes more than a catchy slogan and logo to have a successful branding campaign, the intent is to have a unifying theme and message about the City of Buda which harmonizes City government, tourism initiatives, special events, parks and recreation amenities, Buda’s cultural and historical assets, and other advocates for city marketing.

City Marketing Request for Proposal - City of Buda 2010
The City of Buda, Texas will accept at the City Hall Office, P. O. Box 1218 (mailing address) or 121 N Main Street, Buda, Texas 78610, sealed proposals for Employee Group Health, Dental, Vision, and Short-Term Disability Insurance Coverage, until 5:00 P.M., August 4, 2010. Late proposals will not be accepted, and will be returned unopened. Two (2) copies of the sealed proposals will be accepted until the date and local time listed. Each proposal must be in a sealed envelope and labeled with “Employee Group Health, Dental and Short-Term Disability Insurance” on the outside of the envelope. One (1) copy of specifications and any other Request for Proposal documents may be obtained on or after July 21, 2010 from the City Hall Office, 121 N Main Street, Buda, Texas 78610. Until final award by the City Council, the City of Buda reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive minor technicalities or to proceed otherwise when in the best interest of the City.
