Holiday Lights and Christmas Tree Recycling

Posted on January 6, 2021 at 8:56 AM by Micah Grau

With the holidays coming to an end, you are probably wondering what to do with your live Christmas Tree and those holiday lights that stopped working. The City of Buda is offering free holiday light recycling thru January 10th! You can drop off your non-working holiday lights at the municipal complex located at 405 Loop Street. A drop off bin is located on the east side of the building next to the Library book drop. Please only include holiday string lights and remove them from any other garland or other material.

Your live Christmas Tree can be recycled through the City's green waste program. On your designated green waste day, place your tree at the curb. The tree must be clear of all decorations and cut into 4' sections. The trees will be mulched through the City's waste solution provider. Learn more at www.texasdisposal.com/christmas-tree-recycling/
